THE EVENT

Visit the fantastic pubs of Church Stretton and the surrounding villages on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of July. Your ticket acts as your passport to EIGHT great pubs, each committed to serving up THE BEST in real ales and other beverages. Collect a stamp at each pub to receive a certificate and commemorative Ale Trail pint glass. Travel by mini-bus, forget the car and join in the 2009 Ale Trail party!

Passports and wrist bands, priced at £10.00, will be available from all participating pubs and also from Burway Books, Church Stretton.

The 'Ale Trail' is open on:
   Friday 3rd July,
7pm - 12am,
   Saturday 4th July, 12pm - 12am.

TRANSPORT

Transport between participating pubs is provided by a frequent mini-bus service. The mini-buses operate between the hours of 7pm - 11pm on Friday 3rd July and 12pm - 11pm on Saturday 4th July.

The buses will depart from Church Stretton at approximately 15 minute intervals. The last mini-bus departs from Church Stretton at 11pm on each night.

CHARITIES

The Ale Trail makes a donation to local charities from ticket proceeds and also from the collection buckets located on the bars.

Charitable donations from the 2008 Ale Trail were made to the tune of £2,600. Donations of £1,000 to the County Air Ambulance, £800 to Church Stretton's Mayfair Centre, £500 to Church Stretton's Christmas Lights and £300 to Church Stretton's Good Neighbours.

In 2007 the County Air Ambulance received £500, the Mayfair Centre received £500 and Church Stretton's Good Neighbours received £200.

In 2006 The County Air Ambulance and Stretton's Mayfair Community Centre each received £500, whilst Hope House Children's Hospice received £170.63; that being the money collected in the participating pubs during the event.
